of JohnstonCounty maintains a database of more than 1,300 referral agencies, organizations and programs serving the residents of Johnston and WakeCounties. Since 1973, our highly-trained volunteers have maintained the 24-hour helpline, answering calls from over 8,000 people annually.

is considered the "Gateway to Human Services" in the capital region and maintains the most comprehensive listing of human services available to residents. Through partnerships with a number of county and state agencies and the local United Ways, CONTACT continues to improve and expand it’s services to the community.
